The Pro Flight Simulator suite release date was November 2010 and the game has quickly become a firm favorite among flight simulation enthusiasts.

This is mainly due to the realism of the game and also the ability to fly different air crafts from old world war 2 combat airplanes to modern day fighters and even super jumbo jets.
In addition, one of the great features of pro flight simulator is that each aircraft has a different feel and level of difficulty when flying meaning you face new challenges each time you choose a new air craft to fly. This is partly what makes the game so realistic and challenging even for experienced pilots.

Introduction
When I first started using Pro Flight Simulator, I was a bit frustrated with the simulator, as they’ve literally tried to make the flying experience as realistic as possible, so you have to learn a number of controls before you will be able to fly.
This is not a simple action game, so please think about this before you buy it. You will need to learn quite a lot of aircraft controls, so I suggest you learn with something like a Cessna C172 at the start.
Do not try to fly something like a CitationX jet (unless you already know how to fly a CitationX) when you first fly this simulator, as you will just get frustrated.
Saying all that, I really did have a blast learning and making stupid mistakes along the way. Just remember, it’s a simulator airplane game, not an arcade game.
If you do decide to get the Pro Flight Simulator, make sure you at least read the beginner tutorial (read the manual!)
While reading a German Flight Simulator magazine (Flightm.Com), I came across a new flight simulator. We all know that Microsoft is building its new sim and that Austin Meyer is developing X-Plane 10 (10.03 Beta version 8 has just been published, although a boxed version is already in the shops). But nobody apparently was aware that RC simulator maker Ikarus was finalizing its first real flight simulator: AeroflyFS, for Windows and for Mac. Surprises are still possible in this day and age!
I bought the package and will give you my first impressions.
Those of you who still remember Flight Unlimited II and III (Electronic Arts was the publisher), know that the concept of restricting the available scenery to a limited part of the world, has its advantages. Concentration on the quality of the offered scenery area resulted in (at that time) unheard of dense and detailed scenery.
AeroflyFS is a simulator for small aircraft. The scenery on offer is the total landmass of Switzerland, no more no less. Flyable planes include the Cessna Skyhawk, Jodel Robin DR 400, Pitts S-28, Sopwith F1 Camel, Extra 330LX, the gliders Discus bM (with engine) and Swift S1, as well as the military jet fighter of the Swiss, McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet.
The planes are nicely detailed, with 3D personnel on board, well detailed cockpits where all flying instruments for basic flying are available, including a moving map. Absent are all possibilities for communication and IFR flight. An autopilot of sorts is present, to keep you on a chosen course.
Another addition from Saitek for the discerning flightsimmer hits the shelves. What is it? Well, ever sat in a light aircraft, i.e. a Cessna, Piper, etc., and when you have increased the throttle and witnessed the throttle being moved forward to increase the rpm, and seeing it being 'pulled' back to decrease the throttle? How about changing the pitch on some higher performance aircraft, and perhaps to conserve your fuel, leaning off the mixture in flight and increasing it when performance is required?
Well, the TPM Panel does precisely that, and it has a bank of 'flick' switches, number G1 to G9 chrome toggle switches you can allocate a specific function. The three push-pull levers are the throttle, prop and mixture, each one resembling the real item.
The TPM Panel is presented in the customary Pro-Flight superb packaging, matte card, with spot-UV varnish improving the overall look of the package. The mixture of text, schematics, and pictures, leave you in no doubt what awaits you inside.
The box has a sleeve, which easily removed to leave a box, with simple opening displays the unit, superbly packaged, protecting your investment. Careful removal of one of the two cardboard inners displays the actual unit in cellophane, this removed presents a superbly well made unit, with the controls on one face. The unit is presented in semi-matte black, with clear white printed text. The levers have some color coding, i.e., mixture red plastic end cap, prop blue, and throttle black..
